Michael Aubrey of Spartan Auto Care in Wilbraham, Mass., has been selected as the RepairPal/ASE Master Automobile Technician of the Year by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). Aubrey will be recognized at an awards banquet during the annual ASE Board of Governors meeting in November, held in San Diego.
Mike’s selection was based on his outstanding performance on the ASE tests that he recently took and specific parameters set by RepairPal. He was selected from a database search all technicians who work for a RepairPal certified shop who took ASE tests in the last year. Part of the parameters set by RepairPal for this award are that the winner must be ASE Master Certified and have taken 1 or more tests in the automobile test series in any administration in the preceding 12 months and must have the highest average passing score across all automobile series tests taken in the last 5 years.
The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence was established in 1972 as a non-profit organization to help improve the quality of automotive service and repair through the voluntary testing and certification of automotive technicians and parts specialists. Today, there are approximately 300,000 ASE certified professionals at work in dealerships, independent shops, collision repair shops, auto parts stores, fleets, schools and colleges throughout the country.
